TCM Drives Significant Diversity & Inclusion Hiring Growth for its Clients Across the U.S.

TCM is forging a leadership position in Diversity and inclusion (D & I) as it deploys contingent and core FTE personnel for its U.S. Clients across the United States to support their critical technology, engineering and professional hiring needs. Since the Company began in 1980, as a Veteran-owned, staffing and workforce services provider, TCM has steadfastly focused on diversity as a strategic priority. 

As an increasing amount of key data indicates, building a diverse workplace is critically important to business performance and success. 

TCM recently completed a comprehensive analysis of its 2018 – 2020 Diversity hiring results across the U.S. We are pleased to share a summary of the progress we reported year-over-year across many minority groups and a number of areas in which we need to improve our performance as we complete 2021.

In 2020, across all hiring, we saw an increase in total minority hiring of 9% across all ethnic groups combined.  In Female Minority hiring, we saw a 22% increase over 2019 coupled with annual growth in most key ethnic groups, including African American/Black (5%), Hispanic/Latino (7%) and Multi-Racial (1%). We also reported a decrease of 3% in Asian hiring in 2020 from the year earlier. 

In the Professional and Technical segment, we saw an increase in the total number of Females hired across the African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian and White categories.  The Multi-Racial Female segment reported flat growth over 2019 and the Asian Female segment was down year-over-year.

In the Male segment of Professional and Technical, we were pleased to see a strong increase in Asian hiring in 2020. In 2019, across all ethnic groups, we saw an increase of 11% in the total number of Females hired by TCM over 2018. This included consistent increases in African American/Black, Asian, Hispanic/Latino and Multi-Racial Females hired. However, as a percentage of all hiring year-over-year, Females declined from 36% to 32%, an area we committed to improve going forward.
