TCM acted as EMC’s strategic delivery partner in the virtualization and consolidation of several data centers for their client, Reed Elsevier. This project was a strategically crucial component of a global M&A and integration initiative by the client and was performed over multiple phases in three northeast cities, Rochester, NY, Miamisburg, OH and New Providence, NJ. The project scope called for TCM to source, vet and rapidly deploy 2 project teams to design and implement an aggressive data center consolidation plan, build out a total of 150 new servers with full virtualization capability and then migrate data from physical machines to new virtual machines.
TCM’s project team was comprised of 14 IT consultants including a Project Manager, Network Architects, Systems Architects, VMware Consultants, Red Hat Linux Engineers, and Systems Administrators deployed across the 3 client locations.
TCM received outstanding feedback on the quality of its delivery and the impact of its project team resources and the team’s ability to deliver the project on schedule and on budget over its 6 month duration.
