MPLS and Data Center Migration

The Engagement: TCM was selected to provide a leading global bank with more than 200 years experience providing consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with a broad range of financial services, with multiple teams of IT consultants to manage and deliver tier 3 MPLS and strategic data center migration over a 15-month schedule.

Outcome/Results: TCM deployed multiple teams of 12 IT Consultants per team to manage and deliver a Tier 3 Multi-Protocol Layer Switching (MPLS) and strategic data center migration project over a 15-month schedule.  The project spanned a total of 114 campus sites and six data centers.  TCM’s Project Teams also utilized our internally developed web-based, project management platform, TCM ProjectDeploy, to manage and report on all detailed aspects and deliverables of the project. The teams included a Project Manager, Systems Administrators, Network Analysts and Network Engineers to develop and manage an ongoing project plan for site roll outs and key deliverables; perform network design testing and certification, perform installation and configuration of Cisco switches, routers, terminal servers, Digital Service Unit and Channel Service Unit (DSU/CSUs), and network management tools.  Our team also generated test plans and scripts detailing network-related configurations, developed system-level documentation on the client’s platforms. TCM was recognized for its strong performance on this critical initiative and was awarded subsequent projects based on its ability to rapidly deploy multiple teams of high-quality IT consultants to deliver this project on schedule and under budget.
